Bang & Olufsen BeoLiving Intelligence, successor of BeoLink Gateway

For those of you that love your Bang & Olufsen products, you’ll be pleased to hear that the they released the BeoLiving Intelligence, successor of BeoLink Gateway at the end of the 2018. The Beoliving Intelligence uses the existing gateway at its core, but what is different is that it has two functional modes – ESSENTIAL and PRO.

The difference between ESSENTIAL and PRO

The ESSENTIAL mode is designed to make it easier for users to install and use, without the need necessarily of an installer. It has a fully configurable App which will automatically discover Band & Olufsen products, a little like the Apple Home App, so you can have more control of your products.

The PRO mode supports full professional home control, with the unique capability to integrate Bang & Olufsen networked products with some of the most popular automated solutions including Lutron, Vantage and Bticino. In addition, there is remote access support from the factory.

The App allows you to create ‘zones’ within your home, adding and changing your B&O products as desired. You can even link it with Alexa, to have full voice control. One example of how you may use the App, maybe to combine multiple audio products in a large living space, so that you can listen to the same music throughout – perfect for entertaining! The PRO will allow you to support more sophisticated options, perhaps integrating the Lutron lighting and blind control, to create the perfect Cinema experience.
