We are delighted to have held our first Intelligent Abodes event at the Apple Store, Exeter to showcase the synergy of home or workplace automation with Apple products.
Intelligent Abodes have been leading designers and installers of home control systems in homes and businesses throughout the South West for the last 10 years. These systems include lighting and heating control, automated blinds and curtains, security systems and music and tv solutions.
Karen Chugg, Managing Director of Intelligent Abodes says ‘During the last few years, I have seen the home automation industry steadily grow in the South West; people are now recognising that these systems are not just aspirational, but affordable solutions that everyone can find useful and fun. One of the great things about these control systems is that they network devices and appliances in your home or workplace to give seamless control, making it much easier to use, as you press one button to turn on the lights, close the blinds and turn on the TV, ready for relaxation!”
The evening coincided with the launch of the Apple ‘Home’ App on the new IOS 10 which now means everyone can access home control and have greater choice with the products and solutions available to them. During the evening Intelligent Abodes showcased a personalised home control solution, Lutron lighting and automated blind control and the awesome Bowers & Wilkins speakers, whilst the Apple Team showed how the new ‘Home’ app can control Hue lighting and Sonos.
Everyone that attended the evening found it interesting, enlightening and enjoyable.’ Steve Graham, who is currently building his own house, said “It was very interesting indeed and confirmed how important it is in a new build. Houses without intelligence built in will be instantly out of date.”
