Karen and Tim Chugg, Directors of Intelligent Abodes, recently exhibited at the Self Build & Design Show at Exeter’s Westpoint.

The show was a great success with hundreds of visitors attending over the weekend. The show offered a schedule of informative presentations and a diverse and vibrant range of exhibitors all active in the Self Build and design environment. Karen said “We were extremely pleased with the level of interest at Exeter’s show, we didn’t stop talking for the whole weekend – it was a real sign of the thriving market for self builds in the South West! “

There’s so much that smart technology can do to enhance a space or whole home – from making it more stylish and exciting, to safer and more energy efficient. Planning and incorporating it into your home carefully and right from the start of a project is absolutely ideal both for efficiency and also for future proofing your space. The show was a great opportunity to explain this and how we work with our customers to help them get the most out of the complex range of technology available. After my presentation, we had a lot of interest with comments including ” I’ve been trying to understand whether we needed home automation and you explained it in a way I could understand” and “I now realise how affordable it can be and that we need to give the cabling some consideration”. It was really good to hear.”
